FORCED GUN CONTROL COMING!
Read Full Article Here: http://www.reuters.com/article/politicsNews/idUSTRE59E0Q920091015 <http://www.reuters.com/article/politicsNews/idUSTRE59E0Q920091015>

U.S. reverses stance on treaty to regulate arms trade:

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The United States reversed policy on Wednesday and said it would back launching talks on a treaty to regulate arms sales as long as the talks operated by consensus, a stance critics said gave every nation a veto.

The decision, announced in a statement released by the U.S. State Department, overturns the position of former President George W. Bush's administration, which had opposed such a treaty on the grounds that national controls were better.

On Wednesday Obama Took the First Major Step in a Plan to Ban All Firearms in the United States. The Obama administration intends to force gun control and a complete ban on all weapons for US citizens through the signing of international treaties with foreign nations. By signing international treaties on gun control, the Obama administration can use the US State Department to bypass the normal legislative process in Congress. Once the US Government signs these international treaties, all US citizens will be subject to those gun laws created by foreign governments. These are laws that have been developed and promoted by organizations such as the United Nations and individuals such as George Soros and Michael Bloomberg. The laws are designed and intended to lead to the complete ban and confiscation of all firearms.

The Obama administration is attempting to use tactics and methods of gun control that will inflict major damage to our 2nd Amendment before US citizens even understand what has happened. Obama can appear before the public and tell them that he does not intend to pursue any legislation (in the United States) that will lead to new gun control laws, while cloaked in secrecy, his Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton is committing the US to international treaties and foreign gun control laws. Does that mean Obama is telling the truth?

Obama and the truth have never met.
He is the most consummate liar there is.

What it means is that there will be no publicized gun control debates in the media or votes in Congress. We will wake up one morning and find that the United States has signed a treaty that prohibits firearm and ammunition manufacturers from selling to the public. We will wake up another morning and find that the US has signed a treaty that prohibits any transfer of firearm ownership. And then, we will wake up yet another morning and find that the US has signed a treaty that requires US citizens to deliver any firearm they own to the local government collection and destruction center or face imprisonment.

This is not a joke nor a false warning. As sure as government health care will be forced on us by the Obama administration through whatever means necessary, so will gun control.

Please forward this message to others who may be concerned about the direction in which our country is headed.

We are being led like a lamb to the slaughter (Socialism/Dictatorship).

DON'T KEEP THIS TO YOURSELF - SEND IT OUT TO YOUR LIST

Recipe for Disasters!

Flood Survival Tips –
You can Survive a Monster Storm!

From Lee Bellinger... AWESOME! Thanks, Lee!
Did you know you're more likely to face a flood in the next year than you are to be in a car accident? And the odds are even higher for someone you know or care about.
So even if this information does not seem to apply to you, feel free to pass it along. Even if you don't live on a flood plain and even if you don't live in a hurricane zone. Floods can hit just about anywhere if the conditions are right.
And when they do, they can be swift and deadly. Unless you know how to react, you could find yourself caught in a hopeless situation. In today's Ready-for-Anything Report, I want to share proven strategies you can use to survive a flood and minimize damage to your property.
Immediate Preparations
We're entering the season for torrential weather. Just last month, over 12 inches of rain fell in parts of Florida, and that was without any official tropical storm designation. Summer storms, hurricanes, and heavy rains all up the chance of flooding... especially flash floods.
Floods
The best time to prepare you and your family for a flood is RIGHT NOW. Waiting until the waters start rising to get ready exponentially increases your risk of injury or even death. The basics steps to prepare for a flood are simple.
First, find out about the flood risks in your specific area. Your local Red Cross or Emergency Management Office can tell you how high the risks are for your home.
Next, find out how much higher your home is than nearby bodies of water. Write this information down and keep it with your Emergency Preparedness kit. Then, if a flood watch happens in your area, you can determine if you're in danger based on how high the waters are projected to rise compared with your home's elevation.
After that, put together an emergency plan with your family. Everyone in your family should know what to do and where to go in the event of a flood. Remember to plan for contingencies. For example, if someone is away from home when a flood watch is declared, they should know where to go next – whether they should return to your house or meet at an alternate rendezvous point.
Some Basic Gear You'll Need
Knowing your flood risks is an important first step, but it's not enough to keep you and your family safe.
In some flooding situations, your home may not be in danger, but you may find yourself without power and unable to get to a grocery or hardware store safely. Floods usually compromise the local water system, so it is NOT a good idea to drink the water from your faucet during a flood.
To comfortably shelter in place, you should have:
  • Flashlights and batteries – enough for each person in your family to have one.
  • Hand-Crank Radio
  • Water storage – a gallon per person per day for three days at the barest minimum.
  • A backup food supply and a way to cook it.
  • Plenty of blankets and a way to safely heat at least one room in your home.
  • A backup supply of critical prescription drugs for anyone in your family that needs them, and a basic first-aid kit to address minor emergencies.
  • A battery-operated or hand-crank radio – this is essential. You need access to information. If the situation changes and you need to evacuate, it's important you find that out as soon as possible. During a flood event, a radio can be your lifeline.
If you have to leave your home, you need a quick bug-out kit that can cover your family's basic needs for at least three days. Think food, water, first aid, prescriptions, warmth, and communication [Instead of a Bug-Out Bag (BOB), my wife and I refer to ours as a Bug-IN Bag, only it's in boxes - hardly a bad at all].
[With a little time spent shopping around, you can put together a Bug-Out Bag that will provide what you need if you have to leave your home in a hurry. We got suitable supplies on Amazon.com and at WalMart. So far, I've given "Prepper" supplies, including BOB's, as birthday and graduation gifts... and they ARE appreciated.]
Be Ready for the Unexpected
In the event you do have to evacuate your home, before you leave, turn off your utilities at the main switches. If possible, you want to switch off any gas, power, or water running into your home. If you don't where your main switches are, NOW is a good time to learn. Be sure all family members know this information, in case you are not there to do it yourself. Unplugging your appliances is another step you can take to help minimize property damage.
Once you've left your home, you need to be prepared for anything. Floods can be unpredictable, and the strength of the rushing waters may take you by surprise.
Even a foot-deep flood current can swamp or sweep away most sedan-style cars. Two feet of rushing floodwaters can debilitate a truck. So, plan multiple escape routes from your home in the event of a flood. If one way is blocked by water, rather than trying to navigate it, choose a different route.
"Floods can be unpredictable, and the strength of the rushing waters may take you by surprise. "
If your car does get swamped in the flood, get out of the vehicle as quickly as possible and get to higher ground. Depending on the depth and strength of the flood, the safest high ground may be the roof of your car. Most flood-related deaths are due to people drowning in their cars. Keep a tool in your vehicle to break out your windows, so you can escape even if the water is pinning your doors shut.
Don't try to cross floodwaters on foot. Even shallow floodwaters can knock you off balance and sweep you away. Another hazard is debris in the water. Fast-moving branches can knock you over and seriously injure or kill you.
Floods are serious hazards. They cause more property damage than any other type of natural disaster. Every year people die in floods – people who could have easily survived if they had just been known what to do, or followed the rules they'd already heard, like never driving your car onto a flooded road.

Many years from now people will look back at this time of social and economic turmoil and see three groups of people:

The first group did not see the coming turmoil, or they
chose not to see it, and they were struck hard by the economic and social decline.

The second group saw what was coming, but for some reason they
failed to act. They were struck by the turmoil just as hard as the first group.

The third group also saw what was coming, but the critical difference compared to the second group is that these people
acted on what they knew. They each did SOMETHING with what they had.

People in the third group not only took preventative measures to protect their money, their water, food and safety, but they also
positioned themselves to take advantage of all the opportunities that arise when old systems crumble.

They were part of the biggest wealth transfer in the history of mankind!

You owe it to yourself, to your family, and your descendants, to belong to the third group.

If One Storm Can Turn D.C. Dark For Several Days, What Would A Massive EMP Burst Do?

Sometimes we all get a little reminder of just how completely and totally dependent we are on the power grid.  Massive thunderstorms that ripped through Ohio, West Virginia, Maryland, Washington D.C. and Virginia left millions without power over the weekend.  At this point it is being projected that some people may not get power back until the end of the week.  The "super derecho" storm that pounded the Washington D.C. area on Friday night with hurricane-force winds is being called unprecedented.  But the truth is that there are other events that could happen that would be far more damaging to our power grid.  For example, a substantial EMP burst over a major U.S. city would fry virtually all of the electronics in the city and take the power grid in the area down indefinitely.  A gigantic EMP burst over the entire country (caused by a massive solar storm or a very large nuclear explosion high in the atmosphere) could theoretically take down the entire national power grid.  Just try to imagine a world where nobody has any electricity, nobody can pump gas, nobody can use their credit cards or get any more money, where most vehicles won't start, where nobody has the Internet, where all cell phones are dead and where nobody can heat or cool their homes.  That is how serious an EMP burst could potentially be.  We are talking about an event that could be millions of times worse than 9/11.
Hopefully this latest storm has reminded Americans about how vulnerable our power grid really is and about how close we really are to being knocked back to the late 1800s.
Let's review some of the damage that this "super derecho" storm caused to the D.C. area....
-Thousands of businesses have been forced to close temporarily because they cannot operate without electricity
-Many federal agencies were closed on Monday because there was no power
-Many 911 call centers throughout Northern Virginia were down over the weekend and could not respond to emergencies
-Without electricity, many families have not been able to cook warm meals
-Without warm water, many families have not been able to take hot showers
-A "boil water advisory" was put into effect for several areas of northern Virginia
-Many families that still do not have power are in danger of losing much of the food in their refrigerators and freezers
-Many gas stations were not able to operate because of a lack of electricity and so this has made filling up the gas tank a major hassle for many families
-Hundreds of traffic lights are still out and this is making commuting a major problem in some areas
-Without air conditioning many families are absolutely sweltering as high temperatures remain well above 90 degrees
-During the power outage some people have been without cell phone service because many cell phone towers were inoperable
-Without electricity, thousands upon thousands of people have not been able to use their computers for several days and this is causing a lot of frustration
-Several major websites were totally knocked offline by the storms as Robert McMillan of Wired Magazine explained....
Hurricane-like storms knocked an Amazon data center in Ashburn, Virginia, offline last night, and a chunk of the internet felt it. The six-hour incident temporarily cut off a number of popular internet services, including Netflix, Pinterest, Heroku, and Instagram.
But to be honest this was not a major disaster.
After a few days the damage will be fixed and people will start to forget what just happened.
Well, what if the damage was permanent and the entire nation had to go without electricity for the foreseeable future?  The following is from a USA Today article by Dan Vergano....
The sky erupts. Cities darken, food spoils and homes fall silent. Civilization collapses.
End-of-the-world novel? A video game? Or could such a scenario loom in America's future?
There is talk of catastrophe ahead, depending on whom you believe, because of the threat of an electromagnetic pulse triggered by either a supersized solar storm or terrorist A-bomb, both capable of disabling the electric grid that powers modern life.
As I have written about previously, an EMP attack could fundamentally change life in America in a single instant.
What would you do if such a scenario happened?
Would you try to go somewhere?  Even if the electronics in your car were not totally fried, you would not be able to pump more gas anywhere.
Would you try to call someone?  Most phones would be totally dead and all normal communications networks would be down.  So who would you call?
Would you bunker down and try to survive on what you have at home?  Most of the food in your refrigerator and freezer would rapidly go bad and most Americans only have enough food to last a few days or a few weeks.  In addition, most Americans would no longer be able to heat or cool their homes, so extreme cold and extreme heat would become huge problems very quickly.
How in the world would any of us survive in a world without electricity?
In past centuries our forefathers knew how to survive in such a world, but most of us do not have the same skills or resources that they had.
The following is how an article in the Wall Street Journal once described what a massive EMP burst would do to this nation....
No American would necessarily die in the initial attack, but what comes next is potentially catastrophic. The pulse would wipe out most electronics and telecommunications, including the power grid. Millions could die for want of modern medical care or even of starvation since farmers wouldn't be able to harvest crops and distributors wouldn't be able to get food to supermarkets. Commissioner Lowell Wood calls EMP attack a "giant continental time machine" that would move us back more than a century in technology to the late 1800s.
What would you do if you were suddenly cut off from all electricity, all money, all modern forms of communication, all modern forms of transportation and all modern forms of shopping?
Don't think that it can't happen.
Scientists tell us that massive EMP bursts generated by gigantic solar storms have hit our planet in the past and that it is inevitable that it will happen again.
In addition, nations all over the planet are aware of what an EMP burst can do and have been developing "Super-EMP" weapons that can take power grids down in a single strike.
The following is a short excerpt from a statement by Dr. Peter Vincent Pry to the United States Senate Subcommittee on Terrorism, Technology and Homeland Security on March 8th, 2005....
Russian and Chinese military scientists in open source writings describe the basic principles of nuclear weapons designed specifically to generate an enhanced-EMP effect, that they term "Super-EMP" weapons. "Super-EMP" weapons, according to these foreign open source writings, can destroy even the best protected U.S. military and civilian electronic systems.
That doesn't sound good.
But perhaps even more troubling is that North Korea has been reportedly developing this type of weapon.  In fact, it has been reported that North Korea may have tested a "Super-EMP" weapon all the way back in 2009....
North Korea’s last round of tests, conducted in May 2009, appear to have included a “super-EMP” weapon, capable of emitting enough gamma rays to disable the electric power grid across most of the lower 48 states
In time, these kinds of weapons will get into more and more hands.
Will someone try to use this kind of weapon at some point?
Frank Gaffney, the president of the Center for Security Policy, believes that a single EMP burst could potentially end up killingthe vast majority of the population of the United States....
"Within a year of that attack, nine out of 10 Americans would be dead, because we can't support a population of the present size in urban centers and the like without electricity"
Once you understand these kinds of threats, it makes it a lot easier to understand why preppers are so busy preparing for the future.
Our world is becoming incredibly unstable.  Another major economic crisis could hit us at any time, war in the Middle East could erupt without warning, earthquakes and other natural disasters are becoming more frequent and society seems to get a little crazier with each passing day.
The era of tremendous peace and prosperity that we have all been enjoying is rapidly coming to an end.  In a world filled with instability and chaos, it only seems prudent to take some precautions.
You might want to get prepared while you still have time.

Taking dominion over PESTS!
Use these killer methods to smite creepy crawlies.
I recently heard a disaster expert talking about a man whose home had survived a wildfire came home to find it infested with fleas. He didn't have a flea problem before the fire and didn't even own a pet. Seems, in an effort to save their own hides, the fleas had to flee and wound up at this man's home.
Yesterday, I caught a mouse lying in an old sticky trap behind our commode. I had once caught a mouse in that same spot; it's cool and they can lick condensation off the pipes near the floor. With all this heat and so little rain, in an effort to survive, the outdoor critters are coming in.
Last month, pesky gnats were everywhere. We took 5 see-thru plastic cups with 2" of apple cider vinegar in each, wrapped the lid with seran wrap and poke a hole in the top with an ink pen. We caught dozens and dozens of the li'l creeps in five locations.
These three situations really got me to thinking. Then, I received an eMail from Lee Bellinger. He writes:
After a flood, a tornado, in any crisis, these same pests can put a wrench in your prepping plans if you're not ready to deal with them. If they decide they want to share your food and your home, and you don't have a way to exterminate them, they could expose you to potentially life-threatening diseases. So let's talk about how to keep this horror story from springing to life.
What's more, pests can also attack your food supplies. They may consume only a small portion, but contaminate the rest. In other cases, it's not so much these actual critters but the microorganisms they carry that are the real threat. Ticks carry Lyme disease, mosquitoes spread malaria, and flies can transmit e coli, a truly frightening prospect should municipal wastewater treatment facilities shut down for any extended period of time.In a "system down" situation, the dangers of pestilence and disease multiply rapidly. Even in a short-lived emergency, municipal services such as garbage collection, sewer maintenance, and street cleaning come to a quick halt, undermining the first line of defense against these vectors of sickness, i.e. cleanliness.
Even if you never experience an emergency where you're forced into live with compromised public sanitation, pests are a nuisance and will destroy property such as your home, furniture, and clothing.
A Word on Pesticides, Insecticides, and other Toxins
Pesticides are a fast and efficient method for eliminating many bugs and critters. The problem is pests replicate fast! For some, generations are measured in weeks. This awesome reproductive efficiency helps them build resistance to chemical-based pest controls. According to experts, there are no known insect species that have gone extinct, no matter how hard we try.

The result is many of yesterday's insecticides don't work well now, so today's pesticides are more toxic and often more expensive than ever before."Among the species that readily bounce back from the chemicals are those most dangerous to us – flies, fleas, mosquitoes, ticks, and lice." – Pest control author Bernice Lifton
Using toxins may not be the best idea. You should be careful with cross-contamination, accidental poisoning, and causing illness, sickness, and severe allergic reactions from the chemicals (rather than through the pests).
Fortunately, a little common sense and ingenuity provide many natural, poison-free, and effective pest control methods. Natural pest control methods are generally less expensive, and pests are unlikely to develop immunity to them.
Two Free and Effective Tools to Keeping Creepy Crawlies Away
Insects, bugs, rodents, and the rest of them are part of nature. Our concern is keeping them off your body and away from your home.
The most effective weapon is cleanliness.
Bugs like to be left alone, too. A yearly Spring Cleaning (or more often) by moving things around in the closets, pantries, and drawers, wiping things down, dusting, laundering heavy fabrics and linens, removing clutter, moving furniture to sweep and vacuum underneath helps get rid of unwanted guests and clear out their hiding spaces; it also helps disrupt their reproductive cycle.
Cleanliness also eliminates the things that attract them to you and your home: food and water. Wipe up spills. Repair leaky faucets. Rinse containers before putting them out for recycling. Just generally stay clean and neat.
Another overlooked weapon is sunlight.
Taking out rugs, curtains, and cushions to beat and brush them outdoors, and exposing rooms to bright sunlight, helps freshen things up. At the same time, critters don't like hot sunshine and some insect larvae even shrivel in direct sun.
More Do-It-Yourself Poison-Free Pest Control Strategies:
Structural Integrity: Don't let them into your home. Install and maintain screens over openings to your home like vents and chimneys. Make your home an unwelcome site to unwanted invaders. Clean out as many nooks, crannies, cracks, gaps, corners, pipes, gutters, etc., as possible, both inside and outside your home.
Don't Give Them a Drink: Get rid of puddles, dampness, and leaks. Pests are attracted to moisture, and a little bit of water is enough satisfy a family of roaches. What's more, many pests feed on mold. If you've ever hired a professional pest control company, you know that the first place they look is under kitchen and bathroom sinks. You should check these spots, too. Also be sure to install and maintain rain gutters and make sure they direct water away from the foundation of your home.
Don't Feed The Bugs: Keeping your home clean goes a long way here. In addition, you want to practice proper food storage. Keep food tightly stored in metal, plastic, or glass containers.
Healthy Pets: Pests like mosquitoes, fleas, and ticks can even turn your beloved household pets into disease carriers. Keep them up-to-date with products like pest control collars.
Pest-Proof Your Shed: If you close the door on your garden shed in November and don't open it again until April, you may have created an ideal winter resort for rodents and bugs. In summertime, outbuildings become great habits for wasps and hornets. Don't overlook the need to practice good maintenance and cleanliness in these areas, too.
Trap Them - Then Kill Them:
Roaches – Use a glass jar. Fill it halfway with beer. Place the trap on the corners of the room where they like to crawl. Roaches climb in, drink, get drunk, and drown. This same technique works on voracious garden slugs; with slugs, just use the lid of the jar.
Flies – Take a plastic jar, bait the inside with a sugar water and vinegar mixture, place a funnel or cone shaped paper (with an opening just big enough for the fly to crawl through), make sure the big end is wide enough to cover the jar's mouth, then place it point down into the jar. The fly smells the bait, crawls down the cone, through the opening and into the jar, it gets stuck in the liquid, or can't figure out how to crawl or fly back out. Old-fashioned fly paper strips work well, too; get them at any home center or farm supply store.
Rats and Mice – Old-fashioned snap traps work well. Buy strong ones that are the right size. If it's too big, a small mouse can walk right through it. Too small and a big rat won't even feel it. The trick is to buy enough traps to shock and awe the area you want to protect. You want to take out all the rats or mice you think you have as fast as possible. If you buy too few, the survivors will "learn" to avoid the traps. Be sure to wear gloves when disposing of the victims.
Mosquitoes – There are many products for sale to deal with mosquitoes, but the most effective method is prevention. Eliminate their breeding ground: water, both seen and unseen. Standing water in puddles, around plants, forgotten pet dishes, bird baths, rain gutters, water lodged inside old tires, etc., will attract mosquitoes and allow them to breed like mad. If you live near natural mosquito breeding grounds such as swamps – excuse me, wetlands – you'll need to use prevention methods designed to keep them away from you. Use screens over doors and windows and make sure they fit correctly. Wear long sleeves and pants outdoors, and use certain smells said to repel them: citronella, basil, and garlic.
Keeping pests under control and away from where they shouldn't be is an important step to keep yourself healthy and protect your food and property from damage. Learn and practice these habits now so pests won't establish colonies in or near your home. It's a lot easier than trying to play catch-up later, especially in times of crisis.

Disasters and The Church

Disasters and The Church
I have had many close calls with death, from having guns pointed at me to being electrocuted. When Arthur Godfrey was asked about his favorite kind of weather, after surviving the shells of German artillery, he responded,“I just like weather.”
I concur; it's just great to be alive. I love the phrase,“Every day is a gift from God. That's why we call it 'The Present.'”
Nevertheless, as it is in the natural so it is in the spiritual. Just as there are storms of life, so there are storms upon the earth.
We don't ALWAYS like the weather, do we? The recent storms in Florida and Georgia and the Northeastern United States have left millions without power during the midst of a summer heat wave. Minnesota have received 25 inches of rain in 6 weeks. Loss of lives and property damage have turned beauty into ashes as places needing rain desperately aren't receiving any.
Do weather patterns have spiritual causes? I believe so. Deuteronomy 28:12 tells us seasonal rain is a blessing for obedience. Solomon prayed, "When the heavens are shut up and there is no rain because they have sinned against Thee..." (2 Chronicles 6:26). Elijah prophesied a drought and literally... READ MORE HERE

Emergency preparedness?
The power grid in the Washington, DC, Maryland, and North Carolina, and even some states in the Midwest essentially SHUT DOWN as a result of violent storms the past few days. With an oppressive heat wave happening at the same time, the situation is, frankly, quite dangerous.
Here are just a few of the headlines from the Northeastern U.S. Let's not forget the wildfires in Colorado, tornadoes and floods in the Southeast and floods in Minnesota, too:
  • "Land Hurricane" Leaves 13 Dead, Millions Without Power...
  • Cell Phone Service Crashes in DC Area...
  • Train Passengers Stranded 20 Hours...
  • Gas Stations Packed, Run Dry...
This situation gave us one more example of how the fabric of a civil society is so razor thin. You must take every reasonable opportunity to make yourself more self-reliant. Any number of dangers could threaten your personal security and freedom of action.
America faces the very real potential of severe food shortages and supply chain failures. VERY few are prepared to feed themselves and their families should grocery store shelves be emptied for more than a day or two... and forget water preparedness! Most folks never give it a second thought.
