Your Financial Future

Why don't people take charge of their own financial future? Why do we limit ourselves to a 401k, a Keogh, a savings account, especially when the amount of the our nation's debt is exactly equal to the amount of money Americans are putting aside for their retirement in these ridiculous accounts (about $17 Mill)?

I believe there are three reasons why so many of us are doing nothing:

1) Laziness. Americans are so distracted, the moments of good intentions have slipped into weeks, months and even years of non-activity rather than pro-activity.

Speaking of laziness, the Senate Budget Committee reports that in fiscal year 2011, between food stamps, housing support, child care, Medicaid and other bennies, the average US household BELOW THE POVERTY LINE received $168 DAILY in government support... your tax dollars at work. With the median household income of $50,000 averaging $137.13 a day, that averages $30-an hour for a 40-hour week. While the average working stiff earns $25 an hour, after paying taxes, his pay drops to $21/hr. Where's the incentive to get off the government dole when getting a job pays $9/hr LESS?

2) Fear of personal responsibility. Too many Americans won't do their own research, seek counsel and act with confidence, especially when no one they know is doing anything but what everyone else is doing. Most folks are frightened to do anything more with their money than to save it for 1% interest or spend it. Don't be that guy! I learned long ago to beware when everyone else was headed one direction. Go the OTHER WAY!

3) Waiting for a rapture. Unbelievable as it is to me, multitudes of people who claim to be Followers of Jesus and Believers in the Bible, seem to forget Noah and Joseph were "Preppers."  We would be wise to step out and follow their example. Enough about that.

You can start turning your wealth around TODAY - no matter how young you are. If all you do is EXCHANGE your cash for Mercury dimes through a company such as APMEX.com, last week, 50 Mercury dimes was worth $115.00 and some change. Remember when fifty dimes was worth $5.00? So, give yourself a raise today! Exchange your worthless cash for gold, silver, bulk foods and the Foreign Exchange (FOREX).

Do not DO NOTHING! When there's no money available at the banks, or even access, you do not want to experience the shame of looking into your wife's eyes, the faces of your kids, or your own reflection in the mirror, and wish you had been pro-active and a better steward of your money while you had the chance.

If I can be of any help, just ask!

Every blessing,
Michael Tummillo
