I FELT THE SAME WAY!

Whatever your reasons for not getting involved with GOFoods - whatever your objections - I guarantee you, I once felt the same way. At first glance, the whole idea seemed a little overwhelming. After all, I'm a busy guy and I'm sure your plate is pretty full, too.

My wife, Barbara, felt that same way. But once we ordered our FREE PRODUCT SAMPLES - something we strongly suggest to everybody - we REALLY enjoyed them! We tried a few of the soups and entrĂ©es, asked questions, read about the foods and the company, and eventually had so much peace of mind we agreed to give GOFoods as Christmas gifts to some friends in our church. We quickly realized the benefits of the GOFoods products and decided to redirect a portion of our grocery budget towards GOFoods products and will be save 15% on every purchase for doing so!

Personally, I have become convinced that, in this world's economy, NOW'S THE TIME to establish Multiple Income Streams in our lives. Diversification will be critical in the days ahead! With GOFoods, if the predictions of many experts come to pass, we will wind up with either a food shortage, or so much dangerous gentically-modified foods in our nations food chain - OR BOTH - long-term food storage will wind up being the acme of Wisdom!

Why not prepare yourself beforehand?

I know, nobody wants to change the status quo of their life unless there is an obvious and immediate advantage. I felt the same way!

Here are a few questions I had to ask myself before I made any sort of commitment to GOFoods. They might help you when you're deciding what's best for you and yours:
  • Will GOFoods products help everyone in my family and can they be a benefit to everyone I love in the days ahead? (Always go for the win-win.)
  • Will I be "plugged-in" and have access to all the help I need when I have questions or concerns? (Yes, they haven't failed me yet!)
  • Do I know enough about current geo-political conditions to trust my own judgement on these matters? (I read a lot and am now determined my family will suffer as little as possible if/when stuff hits the fan. You?)
  • Millions of people will need the benefits GOFoods has to offer in the future. Along with what I already have to offer my world, will GOFoods be able to help me serve, save, and share by helping others become secure and even prosperous? (Absolutely!)

Finally, pray about it. Not every THING is for every BODY. Whether you are looking for an additional Income Stream, or you simply want to work on your long-term food storage in case things ever get tough in your life, GOFoods might be exactly what you need.

No one can make a quality decision without quality information, right? So, why not go to our website and do some leisurely reading? Go to LetsGetReady.MyGoFoods.com and remember to order your FREE PRODUCT SAMPLES! You'll love 'em!

    Blessings,
    Michael and Barbara

Sovereign Man

Date: September 26, 2012
Reporting From: Hong Kong

[Editor's Note: Sovereign Man Chief Investment Strategist Tim Staermose is filling in for Simon today.]

It's now officially a 3-way race to the bottom between the dollar, the euro, and the yen.

It started on September 6th with the ECB announcing a new, UNLIMITED bond-buying program. A week later, the US Federal Reserve officially announced QE3, another open-ended (de facto limitless) bond buying program. One week after that, the Bank of Japan announced it was adding another 10 trillion yen ($128 billion) to its already massive bond buying program.

The mainstream financial media calls this a 'coordinated offensive', as if these central bankers are brigadier generals in combat. What a bunch of baloney. (though maybe this would make Ben Bernanke the COBRA Commander from GI Joe...) If they really want to use a military analogy, it's as if these central bankers are waging war on their own economies... and SAVERS.

For anyone who borrows money to spend or invest now (which includes governments and big financial institutions), the race to the bottom is a wonderful gravy train to be riding. But for anyone sitting on a pool of savings, it's highly destructive.

In the long-run, shares of best companies in the world will be solid hedges against such intense monetary inflation. But deep down, stocks are inherently risky.

Company fundamentals no longer matter very much; it's all about the debasement of the currencies in which those stocks are priced. The stock market isn't really rising, it's really the currency that's falling. In fact, as I am fond of reminding my friends, the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange did exceedingly well during that country's hyperinflationary meltdown.

Moreover, the system risks in the stock market are no longer trivial.

As a small investor, most people only have a claim to the shares that they buy. Brokage houses often use 'street name' registration, which means that if you buy Apple shares through your broker, your broker is actually listed as the shareholder on Apple's books.

This works fine and dandy as long as the system is functioning normally. But if your broker goes down in a sea of flames, what then? Government guarantees backed by insolvent agencies are hardly comforting.

Of course, you won't really hear about these issues in the mainstream financial press; I can just imagine getting laughed off the set of CNBC for suggesting that central banks are manipulating the stock market, or that most small investors don't actually own the shares in their brokerage account.

Personally, I use the stock market for one sole purpose. I don't speculate in shares, or take a punt hoping that the stock price of company X goes up.

My method is a highly specialized, proprietary system that I developed over several years we call the 4th Pillar-- it involves takeover arbitrage in the Australian market (where you actually OWN the shares in your brokerage account).

This system is more like a 'cash equivalent'. Instead of spare cash sitting in a bank earning 0.01%, I'm able to generate consistent double digit returns with minimal risk through this very specialized trading system. In fact, in the years I've been doing this, the portfolio has never been in the red, ever.

It's a great way to preserve the purchasing power of one's savings, plus generate a solid inflation-adjusted return, all without having to assume the system risks of the broader stock market.

Other ways to preserve your purchasing power include tangible, physical assets. We all know about gold and silver bullion... but rare coins, stamps, art, fine wine, and other collectibles are also excellent stores of value.

Productive real estate is also a great option, especially cash flow positive rental property or fertile agricultural land. As my partner Simon Black frequently points out, owning FOREIGN real estate is one of the best ways to legally move money out of your home country, and it always gives you a place to go in case of emergency.

The strategic consideration in all of these options is PRESERVING the purchasing power of your hard-earned capital, safeguarding your standard of living, and minimizing systemic risk. Sure, I might miss a 50% rise in the S&P or Hang Seng... but I'll sleep soundly knowing that my capital is safe and earning a solid return, no matter how bad the storm.

Until next time,

Tim Staermose, Chief Investment Strategist

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Health-Conscious Storable Food Company GOFoods Global Commits to Use of Non- GMO Ingredients, Endorses Mandatory Labeling and Partners with JustLabelIt.org to provide a Nutriversal Seal on all GOFoods Global Packaging

GOFoods Global, creator of premium-quality shelf-life nutrition and storable foods, is partnering with JustLabelIt.org, a national non-profit organization that supports the mandatory labeling of genetically engineered foods, by posting non-genetically modified organism (Non-GMO) labeling on the back of every GOFoods product package.

Midvale, UT (PRNEWSWIRE) May 23, 2012—GOFoods Global, the nation’s category creator in premium-quality food reserves and shelf-life nutrition announced today that it has become a partner with JustLabelIt.org, a national non-profit organization that supports the mandatory labeling of genetically engineered foods, and stands as an advocate for naturally produced ingredients with the GOFoods Global Nutriversal Seal on the back of every GOFoods product.

“At GOFoods Global, we take the high road to ensure that the full ingredient and nutritional composition of all our products, which are made for long-term storability, are clean and remain so for up to 25 years,” said Brad Stewart, GOFoods Global President. “GOFoods is so committed to giving you a right to know that we label our own products with our Nutriversal Seal, which proves our commitment to high quality standards in the food services industry.”

Like‐minded health-conscious individuals can join with GOFoods to tell the FDA to require the labeling of genetically engineered foods by visiting http://justlabelit.org/take-‐action/.

The term genetically-‐modified organisms (GMO) is most commonly referred to a process where genetic engineering techniques have made specific changes to the DNA of a crop plant grown for human or animal consumption. These modifications are intended to introduce traits such as increased resistance to herbicides or improved nutritional content. These alterations have been linked to significant health issues including kidney and liver damage, infertility, auto-immune disorders, allergies, accelerated aging and birth defects. According to national reports, in 2011, about 88% of all of the corn in the US was genetically modified, and approximately 93–94% of the soy in the US crops was genetically modified.

“To date the United States has very relaxed laws relating to GMO standards,” explains company President Brad Stewart. “For those who do a little bit of research, they’ll find that the biotech companies are building products to be resistant to herbicides, rather than improving nutritional content.”

Non-GMO labeling is a growing concern among United States citizens, and GOFoods goes to great lengths to insure none of its ingredients come from sources that use GMO techniques. This month, residents in California submitted almost one million petitions in support of the Right to Know Campaign and will now be put on the state’s November ballot.

About the GOFoods Nutriversal Seal of Promise:

Ever tried your hand at Gardening?

Ever tried your hand at Gardening?

Well, neither had we!
My wife and I used to joke the plant hadn't been made that we couldn't kill! Well, the more we learn about Disaster Preparation, the more vital it appears we should ALL be gardening - even if only in buckets. Apartment and Mobile Home Park Dwellers and Nursing Home Residents, too! Kids LOVE gardening. As a couple, we've found gardening to be a great hobby for bonding!

Think about it: If the Stuff ever did hit the fan, aside from drinkable water, food will be your next most important provision. Dried foods are ok. We have those, too. Beans and rice and canned goods will do in a pinch. But what if you could carry seeds with you, learn to carry your groceries in your shirt pocket, and harvest from buckets and cans, eating, bartering, giving from what you have yielded? (EXAMPLE: One woman said her 24 watermelon seeds yielded 600 pounds of melons!)

This is GREAT! Did you know you can grow a fruit-bearing apple tree or pear tree INDOORS?

Here's a tip: Start your seeds in a cardboard egg crate, 3 seeds per cup. Moisten the dirt and slip the egg crate into a black plastic bag. Place in a dark, warm place (on top of water heater perhaps). After 5 days, it's those 3" seedlings you will be planting... wherever. Full sun, keep moist.
Tah-dah! You're a Gardner!

This gardening thing is GREAT...
despite us having "black thumbs."
Plant NOW and never run out of seeds!

Happy Harvesting!

What do we do now?

What do we do now?

Recently, I've had some very interesting conversations with people who, although they've become convinced they should do some disaster preparation, they admit they are clueless as to where they should actually begin.

So, what does the average, run o' the mill "Prepper" family need right now? Great question! Bear in mind as you read this, you aren't really BUYING things when you start prepping... you're INVESTING in YOU, exchanging your cash for stuff you can actually use later. In my opinion, your hard-earned money is better spent on yourselves and your future than it is sitting in a measly checking or savings account at the bank. Safer, too.

Following are the suggestions I've come up with that have been very well-received:

1. Exchange your cash for Junk Silver: the poor man's gold. It's affordable (better than gold anyway), increasing in value (ten dimes are worth over $20 these days) and it's recognizable (try buying anything with a silver bar and see what kind of response you get from the clerk). I use Provident Metals in Texas. I simply call them, tell them I have, say, $300 to spend on junk silver dimes (pre-'65 containing 90% silver) and, including tax and shipping, place my order. Easy!

2. Heirloom seeds. These are seeds produced from the plant that will produce the same variety each year. They have not been genetically modified by way of chemicals. The day may come when they will be more valuable than gold. Those who think they need a garden are wrong! We have a bucket garden and containers with veggies growing in the. We could do this from a small apartment and take them with us if we needed to bug-out. There are lots of options online. We've used Burpee but I'm looking at Survivor Food Vault for our next seed purchase.

I'm not sure who wrote the following. An interesting take on the subject of Genetically Modified Organisms (GMO's), that is, the food we've all been eating, and emphasizes the importance of improving what we eat:

"Rats fed a lifelong diet of one of the bestselling strains of genetically modified corn suffered tumours and multiple organ damage, according to a controversial French study published today. Scientists said the results raised serious questions about the safety of GM foods and the assurances offered by biotech companies and governments. The first lifetime trials involving rats fed on GM corn found a raised incidence of breast tumours, liver and kidney damage."

"Dr Michael Antoniou, a molecular biologist at King’s College, London, and an expert on GM foods, said: ‘It shows an extraordinary number of tumours developing earlier and more aggressively – particularly in female animals. I am shocked by the extreme negative health impacts'."

Why should we be surprised? The Bible tells us murder of another fellow human was his first violent crime and that mankind is inherently evil and
"And Cain said to his brother, Let us go out to the field. And when they were in the field, Cain rose up against Abel his brother and killed him." (Genesis 4:8)

"Yet they did not obey or incline their ear [to Me], but everyone walked in the stubbornness of his own evil heart." (Jeremiah 11:8)...

"Take control of the world ... to reduce ... the world to a safe level by a process of benevolent slavery and genocide ... The only alternative left to the world's ruling elite was to increase the death rate ... Dr. Aurelio Peccei of the Club of Rome ... advocated that a plague be introduced that would have the same effect as the Black Death of history." (Bill Cooper, "Behold A Pale Horse", p. 49, 167)

All major governments of the world are committed to this goal, "to reduce ... the world to a safe level of ... genocide"... It makes sense, therefore, to take scientific action to genetically modify basic foodstuffs so that, at the right moment in world history, humans would suddenly be getting sick and dying by the millions.

Do we see any prophecy which might be fulfilled by a polluted food supply? "So I looked, and behold, an ashy pale horse black and blue as if made so by bruising, and its rider’s name was Death, and Hades (the realm of the dead) followed him closely. And they were given authority and power over a fourth part of the earth to kill with the sword and with famine and with plague (pestilence, disease) and with wild beasts of the earth." (Revelation 6: 7-8; Parallel Bible, KJV/Amplified Bible Commentary)

Most genetic products begin developed today contain some genetic material from 'wild beasts", such as monkey....

One more thing: Do NOT plan on eating and giving away all your produce! The idea is to set aside for tough times ahead. Learn to can and dry your foods. They make great bartering fodder, too.

3. Long-Term Food Storage. Personally, we've chosen GoFoods. It has a 25-year shelf life, tastes great, and costs less than $2 per serving. Mixed with chicken or beef or... whatever, and it's downright delicious! Comes gluten-free, too. CLICK HERE

Are YOU ready? You've just read about three GREAT places to start! Remember, an awful lot of very CHEAP prepping can take place at a dollar store and in Walmart's camping section. You don't have to spend a fortune on your own disaster readiness.

Every blessing,
Michael Tummillo

Ag Prices Rocket Upward 17 to 25%; Food Riots Ahead?

Excerpted from Lee Bellinger, Publisher, Executive Bulletin
Ag Prices Rocket Upward 17 to 25%;
Food Riots Ahead?
I'm not kidding – let me spell out in some detail how dire this situation actually is, because I really want you to understand what's happening out there.Have you taken any person steps to build a vital layer of protection against the coming food inflation and even the potential for food riots?
Severe droughts – aggravated by antiquated water supply infrastructure – are hitting the United States, Russia, Ukraine, and Brazil. Food prices are soaring to near record highs – and the price increases show no signs of slowing.
Sure, rising prices are often disguised. For example, official inflation numbers don't take into account the growing practice of increasing food packaging relative to calories purchased – meaning food producers are trying to avoid raising their prices by providing smaller portions.
Yes, it's possible to protect your household from food inflation and to hedge yourself against spot shortages or runs on supermarkets.... here is why preparation is prudent, wise, and potentially life-saving...
The latest wave of price increases has prompted new warnings from major global organizations (including the UN and World Bank) confirming the likelihood of continued price inflation. Dr. Jim Yong Kim, President of the World Bank, described the latest wave of price hikes as "historic" urging countries do everything possible to prepare for further price inflation this fall.
These historic price increases are expected to continue throughout the fall, and have the capacity to become the norm, rather than isolated incidents. The New York Times recently reported that "international groups increasingly see inconsistent yields and drastic swings in food prices... as a global challenge that is not intermittent but here to stay."
The latest round of food price inflation that began this past summer is only the most recent event exposing an impending crisis far worse than government bureaucrats will admit: the world's food supply is extremely vulnerable to natural disasters and failed government policies.
The United Nations recently warned that a select few agricultural hotspots produce a significant portion of the world's food supply – almost literally like having all your eggs in one basket! This geographic concentration of agricultural production leaves the food supply chain defenseless against natural disasters. So far, the world has yet to experience a "perfect storm" of sorts for the food supply where the majority of the world's food producers are getting simultaneously hit with droughts and floods.
Unusual Volatility Triggers Global Alarm

However, with incidences of severe weather statistically increasing worldwide, food supply issues are expected to worsen in the coming months and years, as droughts and floods continue to hamper agricultural production. This was acknowledged by the World Bank earlier this month in a statement cautioning, "we can expect to see volatile, higher-than-average prices until at least 2015."
Spokesman Colin Roche agreed, "This is not some monthly wake-up call. It's the same global alarm that's been screaming at us since 2008. These new figures prove that the world's food system cannot cope on crumbling foundations. The combination of rising prices and expected low reserves means the world is facing a double danger."
Government bureaucrats have strong incentive to cover up the depth of this problem for one important reason: failed government policies are just as much to blame as floods and droughts.
The massive rise in the cost of corn over time is more attributable to the diversion of corn crops to the production of ethanol in order to meet governmental environmental targets, than it is to natural disasters. The World Bank reports that, "the use of corn to produce ethanol biofuel which represents 40% of U.S. corn production – was also a key factor in the sharp rise of U.S. maize price."
Higher energy prices resulting from increasingly strict environmental policies have also worked to the detriment of agriculture in the United States. Compounding the problem, many countries exacerbate the already dangerous issue with protectionist agricultural policies in response to rising food prices.
Following severe drought in Russia in 2010, the Russian government temporarily banned wheat exports to lower internal prices. This sent worldwide food prices significantly higher, intensifying worldwide food woes. Protectionist policies, detrimental to the global food supply, will likely increase as global food issues worsen.
Despite the gravity of the situation, many bureaucrats and pundits want you to believe that this problem will be prominent only in poorer, less-developed countries. While it is true that less developed countries experience worse food supply issues, the United States is far from invulnerable.
According to NPR, during the most recent food supply crisis, one in seven households in the United States were labeled as food insecure by the government, meaning they were unable to obtain enough food. This impact is most substantial in lower income households, but food supply problems of a similar magnitude have resulted in widespread social chaos in other parts of the world, despite only hitting poorer households.
An important-but-forgotten fact is that the Arab Spring protests that toppled numerous governments in the Middle East found their roots in high food prices, rather than a desire for democratic government. According to Egyptian resident and journalist John Bradley, "The main hope of those who poured into Tahrir Square was shared by the revolutionaries in Tunisia: that sudden and radical change would miraculously mean affordable food."
Now less than two years later, the world is experiencing a far worse food crisis, one that can be felt in the developed world, prompting CNN to already refer to 2013 as an "impending year of crisis."
Food Riots Coming to a Supercenter near You?
We are unlikely to see social chaos on the magnitude that overthrew governments in the Arab Spring. However, the prospect of social unrest in response to an insufficient or overpriced food supply is one we must be keenly aware of.
I see absolutely no reason to doubt that food riots could break out in the U.S. After all, some 45+ million food stamp recipients have been officially told that society owes them free food. Any type of modest reform to the food stamp program could result in food riots by those whose sense of entitlement spurs them to go to the supermarket and simply help themselves.
Roving flash mobs already invade shoe stores, fashion jeans retailers, as well as Wal-Mart, Walgreens, and 7-Eleven and simply grab what they want. Do you doubt that they'll do the same in supermarkets if their food stamp benefits are scaled back? [This recently took place in Spain where 3 tons of food were taken by a huge mob in one store - not shoes or TV's - FOOD!]
Thanks, Lee!
There is a way to help your family address this potential crisis and make sure that you are protected in case of severe food shortages, food riots, or other interruption in normal commerce that makes food impossible or cost prohibitive to obtain.

Those who participated in last week's Conference Call with Fulton Sheen may remember his Associate (Carolita) sharing about Dual Citizenship and the comments generated from the participants. Simon Black of Sovereign Man often speaks on this subject. Following is a great article that is so appropriate for today's ReadyAmericans. Enjoy and God bless! - Michael Tummillo

Sovereign Man

July 26, 2010
Krakow, Poland

By the late summer of 1939, Hitler's forces had absorbed Austria and Czechoslovakia into his growing empire, and Germany's military was massed at the Polish border clearly preparing for invasion.

In an astonishing display of perhaps the greatest complacency in the history of the modern world, however, Polish people sat lazing about their lakes, beaches, and riverbanks worrying about more pressing matters- like how to beat the summer heat.

In September of that year, German troops easily vanquished the Polish army, and Krakow became the colonial seat of the occupying forces. Almost immediately, under the direction of the German SS, anyone who posed a threat was rounded up and imprisoned. This included over 180 Polish university professors and many businessmen.

Krakow, of course, is also very close to two of the main concentration camps used during the German occupation, nearby Oswiecim (Auschwitz) and Plaszow.

The worst part is that, even after the war was over, Poland merely swapped fascism for Stalinism. Overall, the country was shrouded in brutal totalitarian control for half a century; undoubtedly, the Nazi invasion of Poland set off a chain of events that would forever affect the lives of all Poles.

It's true that no one had a crystal ball back then... but it would certainly stand to reason that with Hitler knocking at your door, you would probably want to have an escape plan. Even more prudently, perhaps to have already executed it.

Many Poles did just that; they spent the preceding seasons liquidating assets, stocking up on gold, and getting their travel documents in order.  By the time Hitler came to town, many of the smart ones were already gone.

My guess is that the ones who left were probably ridiculed by their peers as "crazy", or "fringe", or "out of touch", or my personal favorite, "unpatriotic." It's as if they had a solemn national duty to stay, get roped up and waste away in a concentration camp for the 'greater good' of Poland.

For those who escaped before the war, many of them went on to build new lives in places like the United States, Brazil, and Argentina.  They prioritized freedom and opportunity, and they went to the best places that were safest for themselves and their families.

I've met a businessman here (I'll call him "Jarek") who I think has the best story to sum this up; when Jarek's father was just a boy in Krakow, the family saw the warning signs and decided to leave town. This was 1938.

Jarek's grandfather owned a successful bakery at the time, yet he felt that he would rather start over somewhere else than risk the safety of his family by living in a police state. They sold everything- the house, livestock, and business... and everyone else thought they were crazy.

Within six months, the family was in Curitiba, Brazil; Jarek's grandfather soon established a new bakery that eventually became a thriving business. Jarek's father grew up in Curitiba and integrated into the local culture, yet he maintained his roots since there were many other Poles who followed them there.

30-years later, the face of Brazil started to change. By the mid-1960s, the whole of Latin America was becoming a military dictatorship.  Once again, the family decided to get out while they could and head towards better opportunity; they sold the business, liquidated their assets, and this time headed towards the United States.

Jarek was just a baby when the family made this move. He grew up in a Polish neighborhood of Chicago, spoke Polish at home, and married a Polish girl from his neighborhood.

He was working as a young real estate professional in the Chicago suburbs when the Berlin Wall fell, at which point he began making more frequent trips to Poland to visit his family's homeland.

In his subsequent trips throughout the following years, Jarek began feeling like there was more and more opportunity in Poland; in 2003, fearful of what would happen in Chicago because of the "War on Terror," Jarek moved his family full-circle back to Poland because he felt like it was the safest, most opportunity-rich place for him to be.

He may have been right; his business is booming, and the family really enjoys the life they have built for themselves here. To listen to him talk, though, they would happily leave and go somewhere else if the right circumstances were presented.

"My most important obligation is to my family," he told me. "I will go wherever I can provide the best life for them, whether that is Poland, America, Brazil, or anywhere else. Nothing lasts forever, you have to expect that these things will change from time to time. People have to learn to change as well, to not get rooted in ideology."

I think Jarek has an interesting point; I'd really like to hear from you, though, what do you think?
Until tomorrow,

Well, how's it going??

Well, how's it going??

September is National Preparedness Month

I was recently speaking with a young lady who said, because they lost their power during a storm, her and her husband decided they'd better get games and coloring books for their kids. They realized they were terribly bored during the black-out and needed to have something to do next time.

Obviously, if the power went out and it was daytime and the rain stopped, they probably could've found something to do outdoors. But it was evening. No TV. No computer. No lights to read by. I Googled "things to do when there's no electricity" and found a list which I revised somewhat. Maybe you can add to it...
