UPDATE ON SOLAR STORM

UPDATE on Solar Storm: The solar storm hit Sunday night,

as promised, and was strong enough to bring a brief display

of the Northern Lights to both Western and Eastern

Washington. The storm was still going Monday morning, but

it's unclear whether the storm would stick around long enough

for an encore Monday night.

One odd report was of an August snowstorm that dumped as

much as 4 inches of snow in 8 hours in the lower elevations of

the Alps, and there were reports of other weird weather

anomalies as well as volcanoes and earthquakes, but what

else is new?  Overall, the geomagnetic storm hit Earth with a
"glancing blow," as predicted, and reached Moderate levels

earlier in the day, but has quieted since that time.  Solar radiation storm levels continue to hover near the S1 (Minor) event threshold but continue a slow decline toward background

levels.

Prayer works! We do NOT have to settle for whatever that Spirit of Death and Destruction tries to bring us.
