McPreppers!

McPreppers!

This message is for self-reliant American Christians who would rather give than receive.

This morning, I had the privilege of meeting at McDonald's with two local businessmen, one of which has been focusing on what I call "FEPS" (Financial, Emotional Physical and Spiritual Preparedness), the other, who hasn't done ANYTHING at all to prepare, but knows he needs to. Nothing was prepared, he admitted, not himself, not his family, and certainly not his business.

As we spoke, the unprepared man was making notes on a McDonald's napkin and felt very encouraged by his friend and me. He was obviously motivated. On my way home, I wondered how many others might have waded into the shallow end of preparedness, bought a few gallons of water and, maybe, a sack of rice from Sam's, but see the importance of taking Disaster Preparedness seriously.

For clarification, I am NOT referring to the end of the world, nor am I talking about martial law or a banking collapse (though all those things COULD take place). What I AM referring to is the loss of a job. A winter storm that knocks out power. A flood. A tornado. A house fire from an exploded water heater. There are a myriad of daily occurrences which can bring an end to the world you knew just 24 hours earlier. You don't REALLY want to be dependent on FEMA, do you? You don't REALLY want to wait for your neighbors to support you, right? You would much rather support your church than wait for them to pass the hat so they can give you a hand-out, correct?

If YOU would be interested in receiving the simple McDonald's CHECKLIST of preparation steps we recommended to our friend this morning, write me at miketummillo@me.com and I will gladly send it to you! Simply write "McD" in your Subject Bar.

I look forward to hearing from you!

Every blessing,
Michael Tummillo
